The Address book allows you to associate your own names to cryptographic Ethereum addresses. This makes it easier for you to recognise the addresses you interact with frequently. It can also prove to be a security measure , protecting against address-poisoning or address-spoofing scams as trusted addresses will show up with the names you designate.

You can access the Address book from the main Safe{Wallet} screen.

Creating an entry allows you to pre-select from this address when sending a token, it will also display with this name in your transaction history.

Modifying the Address book is equally easy, once you have a list of addresses in your address book, you can view and manage these straight from the Safe{Wallet} UI.

Security Benefits

Your Address Book also acts as a security measure particularly against address poisoning attacks, where scammers send transactions from addresses that look very similar to your trusted contacts. By labeling your trusted addresses, you can quickly spot fraudulent lookalike addresses since they won't display your saved names.

๐Ÿšจ Its important to note that for the time being, address books are stored within local storage on the browser. If you clear your browsing data at any time the address book will be deleted.
