Workspace: Frequently Asked Questions
Last updated: June 15, 2026
A quick-reference guide to the most common questions about Enterprise Workspace.
About the launch
What is Enterprise Workspace?
Enterprise Workspace gives your whole treasury team a home inside Safe{Wallet}. Instead of landing on a list of individual Safes, you log in to your organization's Workspace — a single view of all your Safes, pending transactions across them, your team members and their roles, a shared address book, and a Security Hub. The signing and security model is unchanged; Workspace adds the coordination layer on top.
What's included at launch?
Four capabilities ship as one integrated experience:
Workspace — your team's home base, with an aggregated view of every Safe and pending transaction.
Passwordless email login — invite team members with email (one-time passcode or Google), no wallet required.
Shared address book — contacts managed at the organization level, so everyone works from the same addresses.
Security Hub — your full security posture for each Safe in one place.
Is this a new product I have to buy?
No. The core Workspace experience is included with Safe{Wallet}. Some advanced enterprise capabilities (advanced policies, audit log, SSO) will be offered on a paid tier later in the year.
What's coming next?
We're building the controls layer on top of Workspace: spending policies and approval workflows, role-based access control, activity feeds and audit trails, and passkey signing from your phone. These follow in the weeks and months after launch.
Getting started
Do I need a Workspace to use Safe{Wallet}?
No. If you manage a single personal Safe, you don't need a Workspace. Workspaces are built for organizations running two or more Safes, or with team members who aren't signers.
How do I set one up?
It takes under two minutes: create a Workspace and name it after your organization, invite your team by email, and link your existing Safes. No migration required.
Does linking a Safe change anything about it?
No. Linking doesn't change owners, thresholds, or balances — the Safe contract is untouched.
Logging in and access
Can I log in without a wallet?
Yes. You can log in with email (one-time passcode) or Google. Both grant Workspace access. Signing a Safe transaction still requires an owner key.
Does email login give me signing authority?
No. Email login authorizes Workspace access only — viewing balances, tracking transactions, managing contacts, and coordinating. To sign a transaction you need an owner key, a passkey, or another supported signer.
Can I use both an email and a wallet on one account?
Yes. Connect them under Account settings → Connected sign-in methods. Both resolve to the same account.
What if I lose access to my email?
Contact your Workspace Admin. They can update your member record and re-issue an invitation to a new address.
Members and roles
What's the difference between a Workspace member and a Safe signer?
A Workspace member has Workspace-level access — visibility, coordination, address book. A Safe signer has signing authority over a Safe. The two are separate: a person can be one, the other, both, or neither.
Can someone belong to more than one Workspace?
Yes. A single user (identified by email or wallet) can hold roles in multiple Workspaces at once.
Can I change a member's role?
Admins can change roles anytime from the Members tab. The change takes effect immediately and the member is notified.
Safes and security
Is the Workspace a custodian?
No. Safe{Wallet} is non-custodial. A Workspace holds no private keys, has no signing authority over any Safe, and never custodies assets. It adds coordination, not custody.
Can the same Safe be in more than one Workspace?
Yes. This is supported and common when a Safe is jointly operated by two organizations.
What happens to my Safes if I delete a Workspace?
Nothing happens to the Safes — only the Workspace is removed. The Safes stay accessible to their owners and can be re-linked to a new Workspace.
Where is my email stored?
Email addresses are stored encrypted at rest via our authentication provider. Workspace data is governed by our Privacy Policy, and members can request deletion of their email and account data at any time.
Troubleshooting
My invitation expired. Invitations are valid for 7 days. Ask your Workspace Admin to re-issue it.
I can't link a Safe. Check the address and network, and confirm the Safe was deployed on a supported version.
I don't see a Safe I expected to see. Confirm it's linked to the Workspace and that your role grants visibility (Viewer and above can see all linked Safes).
