Spaces: Team Collaboration for Safe Accounts

Introduction

Spaces is a new beta feature that enables teams to collaborate more effectively by creating shared environments for Safe Accounts. This feature simplifies treasury management and improves visibility across team members.

It is also relevant for individuals that want to get a better overview of Safe Accounts they have.

Key Features

  • Consolidate multiple Safe Accounts into one shared space

  • Invite team members with customized access levels (Admins or Members)

  • Maintain consistent visibility of account names, team members, and data across all users

  • Coming soon: Actions across multiple accounts, like sharing an address book within the Space, see all pending transactions for all Safe Accounts added in an overview, or support of not yet deployed Safe Accounts (or what is called “Pay later” in the interface).

Managing Spaces

Creating a Space

You can access Spaces from a separate tab at the accounts screen.

On the first connection you will need to sign a message accepting our terms.

Now you can add any deployed Safe Account on any network to the Space. You can add accounts from all of our available networks.

Once added at the home screen you will see an aggregated balance of all your accounts.

Managing Safe Accounts

  1. Navigate to the "Safe Accounts" section to view all linked accounts

  2. Search for specific accounts using the search bar

  3. Add existing Safe Accounts by clicking "Add accounts"

  4. Any deployed Safe Account on any network can be added.

Managing Members

  1. Navigate to the "Members" section to view all current members

  2. Search for specific members using the search bar

  3. View member roles (e.g., Admin for space creators)

  4. Add new members by clicking the "+ Add member" button

  5. Edit or remove members using the action icons

There are two roles currently, Admins, who can manage the Space and Members who are read-only. Adding a role is off-chain. You can see more information on our data / privacy policy here.

Space Settings

  • Access settings by clicking the "Settings" option in the sidebar

  • Under "General" settings:

  • You can update your space name (visible to all members in the sidebar and headings)

  • Under "Danger Zone":

  • Delete a space if needed (this action cannot be undone)

Limitations

  • We plan to add more features soon is currently a beta version.

  • In the current iteration you can have 3 Spaces at a time.

  • Cross-account actions and a cloud based address book are still in development (details mentioned above).

  • We have a limit for adding Safe Accounts in place: you can only add 10 Safe Accounts to a Space for now.
