Activity log

The Activity log records what happens in your Workspace. It helps your team review, reconstruct and account for how the Workspace and its transactions have been run.

What it records

Workspace-wide log

  • Members added, removed or changed

  • Role assignments

  • Changes to Workspace settings

  • Changes to the shared address book

  • Transactions proposed, signed and executed through the Workspace

Per-transaction log

This shows the history of a single transaction in Safe{Wallet}: when it was proposed, who confirmed it, and when it was executed.

Entries are created automatically and are visible to members with the right access.

Retention

  • Entries are kept for 12 months from the date of the event, then deleted.

  • The Activity log can be viewed in the Workspace but can't be exported yet. If you need a lasting record, don't rely on the Activity log alone.

Limitations

  • The log only records activity that happens through Safe{Wallet} and the Workspace. Actions taken elsewhere, for example directly onchain, through third-party interfaces or through the API, may not appear.

  • The blockchain is the authoritative record of onchain transactions.

  • The Activity log is for information only. It isn't an audited log or a compliance or bookkeeping service.

  • If the Workspace is locked or ends, you lose access to the log. Your Safe Accounts are not affected.
