How to create a Workspace and invite members

Before you begin

You will need:

  • A connected wallet or a verified email address (you can use either to create a Workspace)

  • The Safe address(es) you intend to link — you do not need to be an owner of every Safe, but at least one Safe should be linked for the Workspace to be operationally useful

  • The email addresses of team members you want to invite

Workspace creation takes approximately two minutes. Inviting members and linking a Safe takes one to three minutes per item.

Step 1. Create the Workspace

  1. From the Safe{Wallet} home screen, select Create Workspace.

  2. Enter a Workspace name. Use a name your team will recognize — most organizations use the legal entity name or a short internal alias.

  3. Optionally upload a logo. The logo appears in the sidebar and on team invitations.

  4. Select Create. You will be taken to the new Workspace dashboard. The user who creates the Workspace is automatically assigned the Admin role.

Step 2. Link your first Safe

  1. From the Workspace dashboard, open the Safes tab in the sidebar.

  2. Select Link a Safe.

  3. Choose the network and paste the Safe address. Repeat for any additional Safes you want to manage from this Workspace.

  4. Linked Safes appear in the dashboard immediately. Linking a Safe does not change ownership, signers, or thresholds.

Step 3. Invite team members

  1. Open the Members tab.

  2. Select Invite member.

  3. Enter the email address of the person you are inviting. You can paste a comma-separated list of addresses to invite multiple people at once.

  4. Assign a role: Admin, Member, or Viewer. See Workspace roles and permissions for the permission matrix.

  5. Select Send invitations.

Invited members receive an email containing a single-use link valid for 7 days. When they accept, they can choose to log in with email OTP, Google, or a wallet — the choice is theirs and does not affect their permissions.

Step 4. Confirm the Workspace is active

A Workspace is considered fully activated when:

  1. The Workspace exists

  2. At least one additional member has accepted an invitation

  3. At least one Safe is linked

You can confirm activation status from the Workspace dashboard. The activation indicator appears in the upper-right of the dashboard during the first 30 days.

Troubleshooting

An invitation expired. Re-issue the invitation from the Members tab. Each invitation is valid for 7 days. There is no penalty for re-issuing.

A team member already has a Safe{Wallet} account under a different email. They can log in with either method and link both identities from their account settings.

Linking a Safe failed. Confirm the address is correct and the network is supported. If the Safe was deployed using an unsupported version, see Safe{Wallet} version support.
