Overview
The Shared Address Book is a cloud-based feature that allows all members of your Space to access and manage a common set of addresses. When you create or join a Space, you gain access to an address book that's automatically synchronized across all team members.
β

Important Limitations
Maximum Addresses: Each Space can store up to 500 address book entries
Rate Limiting: You can add or update a maximum of 500 addresses within any 10-minute period
One Address Book per Space: Each Space has its own dedicated address book that cannot be merged with others
Best Practices
For Teams
Establish Naming Conventions: Agree on clear, consistent names for addresses (e.g., "Treasury Wallet - Mainnet" or "DeFi Operations - Polygon")
Regular Maintenance: Periodically review and remove outdated addresses
Add Descriptions: Use descriptive names that help team members understand the purpose of each address
When Setting Up
Import Existing Addresses: When creating a Space, consider adding addresses from your local storage
Organize by Function: Group related addresses with similar naming patterns
Document Critical Addresses: Mark or name essential addresses clearly (e.g., "CRITICAL: Main Treasury")
Security
Access Control: Only members of your Space can view and modify the shared address book
Secure Storage: All address book data is securely stored in the cloud
Authorization: Changes require proper authentication through your Safe account
π Your organization's address data is protected through encryption at rest and in transit (HTTPS), with access restricted to authenticated Space members.
Our Production databases are secured behind VPN, and automated monitoring detects unauthorized changes.
As always we recommend teams verify addresses before high-value transactions and conduct regular reviews for accuracy. Only Space admins can modify entries, ensuring all changes are authorized and traceable.
