Exporting your data and ending your subscription
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Ending a Safe Pro subscription never affects your Safe Accounts or your assets. This article explains what happens to your Workspace data and what you can export.
The two kinds of data
Type | What it includes | What happens when a subscription ends |
|---|---|---|
Onchain | Safe Accounts, signers, thresholds, balances and executed transactions | Nothing changes. It isn't held by Safe Labs, and you can keep using it with your own keys in any interface. |
Offchain Workspace data | Members and roles, the shared address book, Activity log entries, Workspace settings, and transactions that are proposed or signed but not yet executed | Stored by Safe Labs for your Workspace (see below). |
What you can export
Shared address book: You can export it from your Workspace, including when the Workspace is locked.
Activity log: You can view it in the Workspace, but it can't be exported yet.
If you need a lasting record of anything else, keep your own copy while your subscription is active.
Downgrading
A downgrade doesn't delete anything. If it leaves your Workspace with more Safe Accounts than seats, the extra accounts keep working on their own. See How Safe seats work.
What export doesn't cover
Keys and tokens: Safe Labs never holds your recovery phrase, private keys or tokens, so there's nothing to export.
Add-ons: Data held by an add-on partner is governed by that partner's terms.
Your own systems: Data you've sent to your own systems through the Safe developer API is yours and isn't affected.
Backups: Export isn't a backup service or a replacement for your own record-keeping.
Billing records are kept separately, for the retention periods required by German commercial and tax law.
